Serving on Virginia's AI Taskforce

I am deeply honored to be appointed by Governor Glenn Youngkin to serve on Virginia’s inaugural AI Task Force, established under Executive Order 30. This esteemed group of experts from across Virginia’s academic, nonprofit, and private sectors will help shape AI policy and provide strategic guidance on harnessing the transformative power of artificial intelligence to improve government services.

As the world continues to see rapid advancements in AI, we have a unique opportunity to ensure this technology is used to streamline government operations, reduce regulatory burdens, and make government more efficient and responsive to its citizens. At the same time, it is critical that we establish thoughtful safeguards to protect privacy, ensure fairness, and promote the responsible use of AI across the Commonwealth.

I am excited to join this distinguished group of leaders and subject-matter experts, and I look forward to contributing to the important mission of positioning Virginia as a national leader in AI policy and innovation. Together, we aim to unlock the potential of AI to create meaningful, positive change for the people of Virginia.
